Shawn Michaels (Michael James Hickenbottem) is the starter of Degeneration X with his best friend Triple H (Jean Paul Lesveque), his bodyguard Chyna, and their manager Rick Rude. One Raw is War he looked to his best friend and said "You think that you are a degenerate?" "Cause I know that I am!" And there was the birth of Degeneration X! From that time on it has been a phenomenon that couldn't be stopped. Until the loss to Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania. When Mike Tyson left so did Micheals but where did he go? We know that he had problems with his back but did he want to leave DX cause of the loss? At any rate Triple H and Chyna kept the Degeneration going, they recruited X-pac (Sean Waltmen) and The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg Jesse James, Bad Ass Billy Gunn). The new Degeneration X was going strong. When Shawn Michaels was promoted to be the Comish of the WWF he tormented DX and went with Vince and Shane's Corporation. He made some moves and eventually got fired from the Corporation and from being the Comish. "He came back and said No you can't fire me, the only way that you would have the happiness of me not being the comish is if I resign." Forming with DX once again we thought all was well, but as Shawn was going out to his car, he got attacked by the Corp. There was speculation about the attack, could DX have been involved. Later revealed that yes there was some involvement. But DX was still strong. Until the somewhat force behind DX left and joined the Corporation. Chyna who had been a big force had turned on DX and that began the war. Three months later (or so) at Wrestlemania XV Triple H who had been a big leader, turned too! Where was the loyalty in DX at? Some thought that Chris Jerhico (WcW) would join, some thought that Shawn Michaels would regroup with them. But on Monday June 14, Undertaker and HHH had a dispute could this be a plus and maybe a restart for DX???? With Chris Jericho coming to the WWF....do you think that he will join the new or old DX??? | DX the phenomenon, the story behind it! | ||||||||||||||||||

| DX the tradition continues. | Ok, so maybe it is not DX anymore without Shawn, Hunter, Chyna, or Billy. But DX seems to be holding its own quite well as of now with X-Pac, Road Dogg, and maybe Kane. But the tradition can continue if we just remember all of the great times...Blowing up WcW....Hunter's fued with Sgt. Slaughter. Buy the DX home movie from WWF. It is great!!! | ||||||||||||||||||
